My sole focus was my romantic relationship. The end goal was a family and children. I would be married – and that would give me safety for life. If I just follow the right path, eventually I will find that happy ending. No pressure, right? I was looking to my partner to solve my problems. I didn’t know what a healthy relationship dynamic looked like, how to have clear boundaries or how to regulate my emotions. I felt a yearning - a voyage that I still hadn’t even begun. The yearning persisted even 12 years into my relationship and with a well established career. It took time to realise that these milestones alone wouldn’t fulfil me. I felt helpless. The only thing that was left to do was to make a choice. Learning how to soothe myself instead of relying on others was a huge turning point in my life - and I now use that depth of feeling to coach others and help them to develop their emotional understanding. Through my sensitivity, I am able to help people to embrace their emotions, sit with them and accept them for what they are without shame or judgement. I believe in ongoing education and being curious. Why we are the way that we are? I believe in discovering how to be happy within yourself - by first learning about yourself and your past. My mission is to help people to embrace their mental health and encourage people to talk about it freely. A coach that I once worked with said to me, “There's no one to do it for you.” If you want to achieve something, you need to act. I am still learning about myself and it’s been a difficult journey so far. I am still learning to emotionally regulate myself, heal from my past trauma, and reparent my inner child. I want to enjoy this one life that we’ve got – and I’d like to help you to do the same. I help people to live their own version of normal. So, lets redefine normal.
